The Philippines is a tropical island paradise of 7,107 islands renowned for the splendor of its white sandy beaches and terraced mountains.

Climate

The Philippines falls within the so called tropical climate zone. Daily temperatures range from 26 to 34 degrees centigrade. At night, the temperature can drop to as low as 18 degrees on a cool period from October to February. The summer or hot period is from February to May. The hottest months are March and April.

There are large number of airlines that fly to the various international airports in the Philippines; namely: Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Pasay City; Diosdado Macapagal International Airport in Angeles City, Pampanga; Francisco Bangoy International Airport in Davao City; General Santos International Airport in General Santos City, Sarangani, South Cotabato; Kalibo Airport in Aklan; Laoag International Airport in Ilocos Norte; Mactan-Cebu International Airport in Metro Cebu; Puerto Princesa Airport in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan; Subic Bay International Airport in Subic Bay Freeport Zone; Zamboanga International Airport in Basilan, Zamboanga City. Major airlines from all over the world fly to the Philippines. The country’s flag carrier, Philippine Airlines, flies regularly to a number of major cities in the world.
